Boris Katz is a sculptor whose hands shape not only clay, but also emotion, memory, and the human condition itself.
Born in Russia and educated at the prestigious Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design in Saint Petersburg, Boris brings over four decades of artistic mastery to his ceramics and sculpture. Since immigrating to Israel in 1991, his work has evolved into a deeply personal exploration of the human form and psyche.
Boris’s sculptures often revolve around the body—fragmented, raw, and reflective. Through torsos, faces, and figures, he captures the silent tensions between vulnerability and strength, isolation and intimacy. Each piece becomes a mirror, inviting the viewer to confront their own inner landscape.
His art has been exhibited in leading galleries and museums, and collected both publicly and privately around the world. Whether arranged in quiet circles or standing solitary, Boris’s figures speak a language beyond words—one that resonates with fear, longing, beauty, and truth.
Boris lives and works in Israel, where his studio remains a space of continual experimentation and inquiry.
